BANI ADAM – Contemporary vocal project livestream

B

The BANI ADAM Project is a contemporary vocal project consisting of nine recent works by international contemporary composers for soprano (Aïsha Tümmler), baritone (Farshad Abbasabadi), and piano on the themes of peace, humanity and freedom.

The project (app. 50 minutes) will be performed and digitally released in spring 2027 to promote and present high standard classical music of today. More information on release date will follow.

The project takes inspiration from the well-known poem by the Persian poet Saadi “Bani Adam a’zaye yekdigarandand” reflecting on shared human responsibility, empathy and collective existence:

Human Beings are members of a whole
In creation of one essence and soul

The program brings together works in diverse languages from different cultural backgrounds and encourage intercultural, philosophical and socially engaged artistic perspectives within a classical concert music framework. Most of the texts in the project are within great poetry works in world literature such as works by Goethe, Brecht and Rumi.

List of works and composers:
* Selections from Five Songs from Carl Sandburg’s „Prairie“ by Robert Fleisher
* Selections from 4 LIEDER nach Texten aus der „Kriegsfibel“ von Berthold Brecht (Cycle) by Richard Heller
